No, you need an FG-357A. Hard to find. You would be better off with an
external drive, which usually has a small PCB between the drive and the
interface, that the Amiga thinks is a DD. The Power XL drive I have does
this, and uses a Sony mechanism.

(I have a Chinon FG-357 HD floppy drive, and I know it won't work in an
Amiga as a HD drive,)

You could modify the drive to spin at half speed in HD mode (Aminet has
instructions), but you will likely experience "poor interchange" with other
drives.
